TCA-LZ800R - Application rules

To obtain the full effect of using TCA-LZ800R requires obtaining a homogeneous solution in oil. Considering the high density of TCA-LZ800R (about 1/10 g/cm3) and its initial reluctance to dissolve in oils, one must take into account the possibility that sedimentation of the TCA-LZ800R may occur in the mixer.

In order to reduce the nuisance of dispensing operations and ensure full homogenization of TCA-LZ800R and striving to maximize the effectiveness of the product, it is recommended to apply such principles:
- if the tank-mixer for structural reasons has, so called, dead volume, check if there is water in it. If it is, it must be removed - water can hinder the dissolution of TCA-LZ800R;
- pour a formulated mixture of mineral oils into the mixing tank or pre-fill the whole oil, the one of which will be the most;
- if it is technically possible, the oil can be heated to approx. 20°C (the higher temperature, the shorter mixing time);
- when making a mixture in a mixing tank that has a "dead" volume, always introduce the TCA-LZ800R in portions to feed the of circulation pump (the pump will act as a mixer and pre-disperse-dissolve the additive);
- the above method is absolutely necessary when a tank-mixer that has a "dead" volume is not equipped with an additional mixer;
- in the case of operations in a mixer without "dead" volume, it is necessary to temporarily switch on the circulating pump in order to "raise" the TCA-LZ800R, possibly remaining on the bottom

Unfortunately, there is no simple and always reliable recommendation as to the time of mixing, because it depends on many factors such as:
- container-mixer size;
- volume of mixed liquid;
- oil temperature;
- the efficiency of the pump used for mixing;
- having or not having mechanical agitators in the tank-mixer;
- dose quantities of TCA-LZ800R

Only the experience resulting from the practice and knowledge of what factors in a given structure will help or hinder mixing can be the basis for estimating the necessary mixing time.
For example, for a tank-mixer volume of 50 m3, an oil volume of 48 m3, a temperature of about 20°C, and a dose of 0.7 kg/t a tank with a mechanical agitator and a circulation pump with a capacity of 1.5 m3/min, this time is about 15 minutes
